Monday Update: Tour of Guangxi and End of UCI Men’s World Tour Season; And We’re Being Graced with Lovely Autumn Weather- Enjoy it!

Hello, Everyone:

Just another “Manic Monday”, as The Bangles famously said. Last Tuesday saw the start of the Tour of Guangxi, the last race of the UCI Men’s World Tour season. For those unfamiliar with this race, it is a 6-stage race held in Guangxi Zhuang in southern China.

The Tour of Guangxi began in 2017 but was canceled from 2020 to 2023 due to the pandemic. So, this year was really only the seventh edition of that race. Jarno Widar (Lotto-Intermarché) won the race with Tom Pidcock (Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team) claiming a close second place.

Meanwhile, here in the U.S., autumn is in full swing with some cold nights, but the days are mild, warm, and sunny. There’s still time to fit in some good riding, even though you may have to put on your arm warmers, knee warmers, and a base layer and get out earlier than normal to get your ride in as the days end earlier and earlier. So, get out there and enjoy time on your bike!

Have a good week, everyone!
