Hello, Everyone:
It’s another new week and we are already halfway through April. The good news is that winter appears to be over with a summer pattern for the week ahead in the forecast and temps in the 80s. Next week looks to be a little milder, but for the most part, the cold, dark days of winter are over and gone, and I say good riddance and welcome to long, warm sunny days, baseball, vacations, and time for long bike rides.
Speaking of bike rides, yesterday, Sunday, was one of the big races in the spring classics, another monument in professional cycling where Tadej Pogačar tried for the win, which would have meant that he would have won all five monuments. But it wasn’t to be as he took second to Wout Van Aert, who had faced many disappointments of his own with Roubaix, but he was able to outlast Pogačar and take the victory.
With Paris-Roubaix in mind, below you can view some pictures from the Roubaix area and northern France where this one-day race over the cobbles is held every year. Enjoy! And I wish you a brilliant new week.
