Start of Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes(formerly Critérium du Dauphine). Finally, It Feels Like Summer

Hello, Everyone:

We’re into the second week of June and it is finally feeling like summer, and I’ve switched over to my summer wardrobe of t-shirt, shorts, and sandals. Plus, I’m out doing some regular riding. Hope you all are as well.

This past weekend saw the start of Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (formerly the Criterium du Dauphine). The race occurs across 8 stages and is considered the primary warm-up for the Tour de France. The big stars of the peloton (Pogačar and Vingegaard) are both sitting this race out.

Paul Seixas, the French Decathlon Ag2R La Mondial rider, is highly favored to win this race. Seixas is also participating in the Tour de France this year, and at 19, one can only imagine the pressure he’ll feel to do well.

With that, I will leave you to the rest of your Monday. Have a great week, everyone!
