Last Week of April, Fleche Wallone, Liege Bastogne Liege (End of Spring Classics Season)

Hello, Everyone:

Welcome to the last but not full week of April. On Friday, May will be with us. Hard to believe the year is close to being half over. I hope you are fitting in some good bike rides between the raindrops and reappearing cold days that seem to occur without warning this time of year.

Last week saw two big bike races. On Wednesday, La Fleche Wallone took place and saw the 19 year old French rider Paul Seixas put in a stellar performance that led to his 7th victory as a pro. Next was Liege Bastogne Liege, which marks the end of the spring classics season, where Tadej Pogačar took home his third victory of La Doyenne, but not without a challenge from Seixas, who stayed on his wheel until the end of the race when Pogacar dropped him.

With May, we are getting closer and closer to summer and, hopefully, the end of these crazy fluctuations in the weather. Looks like another albeit short bout of cooler weather is moving in. With that, I wish you all a brilliant week, and I’ll talk to you again next month.
