Scenes Inside Belgium and the Spring Classics

Hello Everyone:

Spring offers many delights: baseball, flowers, longer, sunnier, warmer days, travel, and, of course, cycling. This time of year, roughly through March and April, the spring classics take place in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Italy, and other locations.

Many one-day races occur during this time frame in addition to what are called the Monuments in pro cycling (classic races), such as Milan-San Remo, Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, and Liège-Bastogne-Liège. But there are 10 to 15 other races that fill up the calendar.

The pros use these races to test their form as preparation for major stage races on the European race calendar, such as the Giro d’Italia, Le Tour de France, and the Vuelta a España. I hope you get to watch some of them or read about them online. There is a new race every weekend through the spring season.

Have a great week!
