It’s hard to believe but another Thanksgiving here in America is looming and tomorrow is the big day. 2024 has just shot by in the proverbial “blink of an eye,” but it’s been a year full of strife and natural disasters. Yet, we still have things for which to be thankful.
Family Gathering and Friends

Whether you or close to your family or not, or if, perhaps, you had moments of contention with friends over the presidential election, Thanksgiving is the time to forgive and forget and make amends.
It’s also that time of year to think of others in need who may not have a home or a family to spend the holiday with. If you know someone who might be spending the day alone, set aside a plate of food for them or, at the very least, call them or stop by to see how they are doing. The holidays can be a lonely and sad time for many.
It’s Not About the Turkey

Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s may be among the few times you see your family throughout a long year. Try to make the best of it and keep the conversation fun and lively.
In a little over a month, the year will be over and 2025 will start. Make sure you head into the new year on a high note. Happy Thanksgiving everyone and I’ll return on Friday with more cycling content.
Last Thoughts
Lastly, and this won’t be the first time I say this, thank you all for your support this year by reading, commenting, or subscribing to the blog. It shows me you have a desire to learn more about cycling and bicycle travel. I hope you all can fit in a pre or post-Thanksgiving dinner ride.
