August Calendar Post: Le Tour and Last Month of Summer

Welcome, everyone, to August. It’s hard to believe we are in the last month of summer already. But July and the two grand tours (Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes) were full of fireworks. Pogacar took his fourth victory at the Tour but not without lots of shakeups in the GC.

Then the women’s version also saw fireworks with a French winner, the first time that has happened in a long time. However, the payment disparities persist between male and female pros, with Pogacar receiving 670,000 euros, while the female winner received 76,000 euros. Hardly fair in a sport that takes a major toll on one’s body.
